Schapendijk 26 in Notter is a former farmyard where new houses are rebuilt in exchange for the demolition of old stables and farms. The cultural-historical yard is located in the old farm landscape at the transition from the higher sandy soils to the stream valley and the Regge. The yard is surrounded by various landscapes. On the north side is the Notter Esch, an archaeological monument. To the east is the forest Grimberg, in which are the remains of the old manor de Grimberg. The Regge is located on the south side. To the west stream valley and meadows.

The new homes form an ensemble and are situated around a communal yard, based on the spatial structure of agricultural yards in Twente. In architecture and use of materials, the yard will be in line with regional characteristics, either in a modern approach. The unique features of the existing landscape; the transitions from dry to wet, from high to low, from closed to open are made visible in the new design of the site. This takes into account existing contour lines and important visual axes so that a connection is made with the landscape on the own plot and the surrounding landscapes.
